I have actually genuinely achieved the zenith state of becoming a boy owl.

The only refs I'd recognise are Clive Thomas as he was a bit nuts, George Courtney as I had the video tape of us beating Arsenal in 1980 and Keith Hackett for obvious reasons. Plus the baldie from Italy......fascination with refs is quite a new thing. Couldn't care less who was reffing and wouldn't recognise any of them. We shouldn't know anything about the refs....the same as chairmen and all board members, physios , assistant managers (or number twos as they are now called) or scouts (now known as player recruitment).

Don't give a toss who refs a game we are not in which has bugger all affect on us - given fate, the FA and UEFA will probably conspired or be sure some ridiculous sequence of events will prevent us qualifying for anything anyway...

Admittedly only watched the first half, but I thought he was absolutely superb last night.
We're often quick to slate referees when they make a bad call, so we should be prepared to give them some credit when they perform well.

37 Mens games refereed this year and only 2 red cards and 13 yellow.
Its all about letting the game flow.
Having said that I wasn't given a cup final by my league because my marks are fucking woeful!!!
